In the early 1980’s cosmology underwent a very important transformation with the introduction of non-baryonic dark matter on the one hand and the theory of inflation on the other. Since the 1990’s the so-called LCDM model has been so successful that the construction of competitive alternative models has become very difficult. I will summarize all these developments and conclude on the questions that remain open.
