Transiting exoplanets
le 2 octobre 2020, 11h à 13h, Claire MOUTOU, salle Lyot
Since ground-based surveys and the first space mission CoRoT dedicated to the search for transiting extrasolar systems, this field of observational studies has been tremendously improving with the Kepler mission, and is still extremely active with the current TESS mission, and the preparation of the future PLATO spacecraft. During this seminar, we will review the transit method, explore the complementary observations that are required for the system characterization, and present some of the highlights in this field.
