Asteroseismology of Neutron Stars

Resumé: I will discuss the basic structure of Neutron stars, including the Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equations, the dense matter equation of state, and the properties of the neutron star crust and core. I will then discuss how asteroseismic modes of a neutron star may be calculated, as well as how such modes can be excited, and how this relates to current research.
